About Theme Centred Interaction and Me

Theme Centred Interaction, a form of applied humanistic psychology apt for creation of attitudinal and behavioural changes. It was developed by a Jewish German Psycho-analyst by name Ruth Cohn in the 1960s.
TCI was brought to India in 1994 by Mary Anne Kuebel, a close associate of Ruth Cohn and authorized translator of Ruth’s German writings into English. I happened to be the first Indian to meet it, during the days when I worked for a German training institute in Coimbatore, India.

In 1999, along with a few other like-minded individuals, I founded the Ruth Cohn Institute in India, which is now affiliated to the Ruth Cohn Institute International. Later, I offered a Diploma Programme in TCI at Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, India, where I worked as Head of Adult, Continuing Education Department till 2007.

Why this blog?

This blog seeks to update interested TCI learners about developments in TCI in India, as well as to share some of my adventures with TCI in the area of creative writing as well as leading workshops for different groups.
You are cordially invited to join this connectivity. Nobody can grow by himself/herself. We need one another to develop together. May this blog provide a forum for living learning for TCI initiated friends as well as for others curious to get into the magic circle of TCI.
